Résumé Parish of Hampton, Kings County, Yeoman. Will dated 21 June 1821, proved 5 July 1821. To be buried in the burying ground at St. Paul's Church. Wife Mary SPENCE the full rights and profits of my property, the household furniture and £16 annually during her widowhood or for life. Whereas I have reason to expect that George Ingram SPENCE may come out to this province either this fall or in the ensuing spring, I authorize my executors to lease my property to him. At wife's death, property to devolve to George Ingram SPENCE, he to provide wife's maintenance, otherwise property to go to my brother-in-law Alexander CARR. Executors authorized to pay three pounds annually to Hugh JOHNSTON Senior Esq., merchant at St. John, for the use of my sister Elizabeth SPENCE during her natural life. Wife Mary SPENCE, Rev. James COOKSON Rector of Hampton, and Robert McVEY, yeoman of the Parish of Norton, executors. Witnesses: James CRAWFORD, James SEDERQUIST, Monmouth FOWLER. Inventory, dated 23 July 1821, valued at £539 by John KING and Monmouth FOWLER.
