Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County, "but now in the County of Cumberland in the State of Maine," Saddler. Will dated 2 May 1829, proved at Gorham, Maine 4 [April] 1831, proved at Saint John 22 July 1831. Entire estate to Donald SCOTT, George CHADWICK and Charles C. MacDONALD, all of the City of Saint John, in trust, to maintain and educate my children until they respectively come of age. When youngest child is of age, estate to be divided equally among them. Daughter Elizabeth £150 N. B. currency at age 18, and the same sum to sons George and Charles at age 21. Francis KINNEAR Esq., Attorney at Law, of Saint John, sole executor. Trustees Donald SCOTT, George CHADWICK and Charles C. MacDONALD guardians of the children. Witnesses: Clark DYER, Simon ELDER, Charles DYER. Inventory, dated 12 August [1831], valued at £2,943 by John WILMOT and L. H. DeVEBER included property on Union, King and Brunswick Streets in Saint John.
