Abstract "I Frank RIDDLE residing in the City of Saint John for some time past," St. John County. Will dated 31 March 1834, proved 16 April 1834. My silver watch to my brother George RIDDLE of Liverpool. Personal effects and chattels to be sold to pay just debts. Mentions quarterly pay due by William JARVIS Esq. on 1 April 1834 amounting to £30 Sterling. Real estate to brother George RIDDLE Esq. S. G. HAMILTON, surgeon, and William MOORE executors. Witnesses: Robert MOORE, James DOUGHERTY, Catherine McDOUGLE. The name appears throughout the will as "RIDDLE" and the scrawled signature appears to be "F Rudde." Petition for probate dated 23 January 1835 by William MOORE names the deceased as "Francis RUDDLE" and it appears thusly in the New Brunswick Royal Gazette.
