Son Samuel SMILER Junior the shop where he now works and land on which it stands, Lot 977, bought from Eme KENNEDY. Son Charles SMILER house and Lot 975 bought of Henry GARDNER. Daughters Catharine Maria SMILER and Sophia Elizabeth SMILER, as tenants in common, house and Lot 168 on Charlotte Street bought of Munson JARVIS. Daughter Deborah Ann, wife of George K. LUGRIN, my two large family Bibles which she requested would be all that should be left to her. James HENDRICKS and son Samuel SMILER Junr. executors. Witnesses: Wm. Howe SMITH, John BOYD, Benjamin CHALONER. CODICIL dated 4 November 1820 provided a ten foot wide passage way across Lots 975, 976 and 977, the gang or passage way to be owned by wife Cynthia and sons Samuel and Charles as tenants in common.
