'Moncton Times' - On Wednesday morn a brakeman named Richard WALKER s/o Capt. WALKER, Shediac Road was killed on the Northern Division between Jacquet River and Belledune (Glouc. Co.) He was standing in the door of the baggage car and at the fatal moment leaned out to throw a letter to a friend on the road. In this position he struck the projecting timbers on a temporary tank and was thrown under the wheels of the car, He was probably killed by striking the tank, but his body was considerably mangled by the wheels. The deceased had taken the place of Mr. LOCKHART for the day, and it is curious coincidence that young Mr. RYAN, recently killed, was serving as a substitute at the time of his death and in the place of the same Mr. Lockhart.
