d. At home of his son, Edward ANDERSON of Michigan Agricultural College, near Lansing, Jan. 29, Rev. E.C. ANDERSON, D.D., Baptist, pastor and educator for more than forty years. Among the places where he served as pastor are Kalamazoo and Marquette in Michigan, Amherst and Groveland in Massachusetts, Liverpool, N.S., Portland, Oregon, San Jose, California, Lake City, Minnesota. He was five years a professor in Kalamazoo College and for some time acting president of that school. He also presided over Highland Academy, Petersham, Mass., Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas and McMinnville College, MicMinnville, Oregon. He was born at East Point, P.E.I. May 7, 1821. He studied at Acadia College and Newton Theological Seminary and received the degree of M.A. from Brown University. He married at Wolfville, N.S. Miss Helen BEST d/o late Capt. H. BEST, R.N., who survives him.
