A man named ANDERSON died yesterday eve. at Mrs. ANDERSON's boarding house on Milam St. near the market house. Anderson was recently employed in one of the V.S. & P. spiking gangs and came here with the intention of going to the hospital for treatment. Deceased was 30 years of age and supposed to be a barber. -The above was clipped from a Shereveport, La. paper and enclosed in a letter to the Chief of Police. The note says that James W. BARTON met the deceased a short time previous to his death in the city of Shreveport. Mr. Barton learned that his name was Charles ANDERSON, that his father lived in, or near Saint John and that he was anxious to get back home as his health was very poor.
