We recorded some days ago the drowning of two men, Patrick MONK and Alfred MURPHY at Ship Harbor, East Halifax, N.S. Murphy was a man without family. Monk left a widow and eight helpless children, the oldest being about 14 years of age. - 'Halifax Chronicle'
