J.H.D. EAGLES, a well known ship broker, who has had an office on Prince William Street for some years, has been missing for several days and it is known he has gone to the States. Mr. Eagles left a number of creditors in this city who mourn his departure. He was managing owner of a number of schooners and was considered doing a safe business. Consequently when he wanted loans, friends did not hesitate to help him. (see original)
