Our readers will regret to hear of the death of Mrs. LITTLE, relict of John LITTLE of Upper Millstream which occurred early Monday morn. at her son's residence. Some months ago deceased was taken violently ill with grippe from which she never recovered and a few days ago she was again taken ill with inflammation which resulted in her death. Her remains were interred in the family cemetery, Rev. McFarland conducting the obsequies. Mrs. Little was born at Dumfries, Scotland in 1803 and came to St. John with her father, Charles MURRAY in 1819. Her two brothers were at that time in charge of the old Studholm estate, then owned by Judge John SAUNDERS and situated near this village. It is a noteworthy fact that Mr. Murray and his two children made the journey from St. John to Apohaqui on foot. All streams were necessarily forded. In 1822 deceasd was wedded to John Little, who was also a native of Scotland. The newly married couple moved to Richibucto (Kent Co.). Subsequently, however, they removed to Millstream, where deceased had resided for nearly 70 years. She was the mother of thirteen children. The following survive here: Mrs. R. McPHERSON, Mrs. Z.
