Joseph MYSHRALL, who died Sunday eve., was born at Nashwaaksis (York Co.) in 1816. He was a long time resident of Fredericton city. In his younger days he was conservative and associated with J.W. LAWRENCE and R.C. SCOVIL in the first commission for building the E.& N.A. Railway. Politically he was a strong Liberal and a friend of the late John PICKARD. He came to Fredericton when about 6 years old and commenced at that early age to make his own living. He soon afterwards held a post in the Crown Land Office and subsequently was deputy sheriff. He resigned the latter position in 1846 and commenced business as an auctioneer in the back part of the store now occupied by H.A. CROPLEY. In 1854, he and Marchall RITCHIE bought the MacIntosh business and they remained in partnership until 1867 when Mr. Ritchie retired. In 1877, Mr. Myshrall retired, selling out to Alexander BURCHILL. He was a well known Mason and had one of the best old coin collections in the Province. He leaves five children: two sons, Capt. MYSHRALL of South Wales, England and Dr. MYSHRALL of St. Stephen (Charlotte Co.); three daughters, Mrs. TIPPET, Mrs. HOWELL and Mrs. SHERMAN. His funeral took place 3 o'clock this afternoon.
