House of Assembly - Lemuel J. TWEEDIE, Chatham (North. Co.) a new member, leader of the opposition, is a son of Joseph TWEEDIE, Chatham. Born in Nov. 1850 at Chatham; Married Dec. 1876, Agnes LOUDOUN d/o late Alexander LOUDOUN, merchant, Chatham. Was admitted an attorney in 1871 and the following year became a barrister. He was educated at the Chatham Grammar school and at the Presbyterian Academy, Chatham. Was first elected to the Assembly in 1874; Was defeatedin 1878 and elected again in 1886. Conservative.
