Post - Thursday was John PALMER's, 100th birthday, having been born Oct. 11, 1788. Mr. Palmer served on the grand jury at the July circuit of the Supreme Court and was sworn at the same time as his son Alpheus PALMER and grandson, F.C. PALMER, (son of Alpheus). Mr. Palmer has a large family of children, eight of whom are now living. The living children are Capt. Ebenezer PALMER, Alpheus PALMER, E.R. PALMER, for many years station agent here (Sackville), but now of Moncton, C.P. PALMER of Dorchester, Mrs. Reid HICKS, Sackville, Mrs. Wm N. LAVERS, Montreal, Mrs. Chas. WRY, North River, Salisbury and Mrs. Elijah AYER, Dorchester.
