After suffering and lying helpless for over a week from the effects of two strokes of paralysis, A.P. MILLER died yesterday morn. about 10 o'clock. Uncle Sandy, as he was generally called, was one of the oldest residents of the city. Although in his 86th year, up to quite recently he took an active interest in musical matters and was a constant attendant in the Methodist choir. He accumulated considerable property in his younger years but through bad debts and some enterprises which were not successful, he lost much of his property in later years. He was Past Grand Worthy Associate of the Sons of Temperance and one of the charter members of Old York Division. Mrs. Robert DAVIES of this city and Mrs. WILSON of Marysville are his surviving daughters. His son, A.A. MILLER, the well known dry goods man, died some years ago. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon 3 o'clock.
