An inquest was held before Coroner Earle and a jury in the Dead House at 9 o'clock this morn. on the body of Thos. McCARTHY, drowned at Lower Cove (St. John) The jurymen were sworn in and viewed the body at the house of Lawrence McCARTHY, the father, on Brittain St. The father was first examined and then Alfred BENNETT, a boy of 13 who was swimming with deceased on Saturday afternoon, was called.
