Thomas McEWEN of St. Stephen (Charlotte Co.) died Thursday morn. An inquest was held and the verdict was to the effect that the deceased came to an end by drinking poisonous liquors. A post-mortem examination by Dr. Black disclosed an inflamed, ulcerated stomach and mixed with the alcoholic contents were found turpentine and copper. It is no wonder that death was the result. - St. Croix Herald.
