One of the most severe storms on railway traffic that has occurred for years commenced Friday morn. and continued up to Saturday night. The worst effects were felt on the Northern Division where a great quantity of snow on each side of the track increased the difficulties of heavy drifting. A snow slide had occurred between Assametquagan and Millstream. At this point a fatal accident occurred Saturday morn., Mr. LEVESQUE, fireman being crushed between the snow plough and his engine, which left the track. (see original)
