A boy named John MULLALY was drowned in Lee's Cove, a small inlet from Spurr's Cove (St. John) yesterday morn. about 10 o'clock. He was playing with two or three other boys on a floating boom. The deceased had caught hold of a twig to pull him in toward the shore, but the twig breaking, he fell backwards into the water. The other boys appeared to have been powerless to render any assistance. They saw him rise twice and sink and then started for Miller & Woodman's mill, where the lad's father worked. Assistance arrived too late. An inquest was held before Coroner Robinson. The witnesses examined were Samuel LOCKHART, James O'MARRAH and Michael O'BRIEN
