The death occurred yesterday afternoon at his home in Grand Bay of Robert FINLAY, who for many years was the senior member of firm R.& T. Finley, harness makers, doing business on Union and Charlotte streets for nearly 40 years. He was the successor in business of Robert COLLINS. Mr. Finlay retired from active participation in business 7 or 8 years ago, since which time he resided, until 3 years ago, at Hoyt Station (Sunbury Co.), from which place he removed to Grand Bay. He was active in politics, a member of the Masonic order, secretary of the Agricultural society and a member of the board of School trustees. His last illness, inflammation of the lungs, was little more than two month's duration. A widow, two brothers and one sister survive him. Funeral will take place on arrival of Fredericton train. Interment in Rural (Fernhill) Cemetery.
