Another sad event happened at Union Road yesterday when Charles BRYENTON, one of the most respected residents of that place, passed away. He was a devoted member of the Methodist Church, having acted as local preacher during the past 20 years. He had always enjoyed good health up to Sunday, 21st ult. He did the ordinary chores that morn. but afterwards complained of being unable to fulfill two pulpit appointments which he had for that day. Notwithstanding good medical attendance, pneumonia developed and he lingered, although suffering much pain, until yesterday morn. when he passed peacefully away. He was a s/o Christmas BRYENTON, Union road. He was a brother of Rev. Wallace BRYENTON of Courtenay Bay (St. John) N.B. and of William BRYENTON of Pennsylvania. He also leaves two sisters and a brother in Ohio and three sisters and two brothers on the Island and leaves a sorrowing widow and three small children. - P.E.I. 'Guardian', 2nd.
