As Messrs. James HEGAN of firm J.& J. Hegan and Albert VENNING of Beard & Venning were taking exercise on horseback yesterday morn. about 7 o'clock near the residence of John HOWE, Esq. Their horses were instantly stopped whilst trotting at a rapid pace by a cow suddenly crossing the road when the riders were thrown off and seriously injured. Mr. HEGAN is considered out of danger but Mr. VENNING is yet in a critical state.
