Drowning of young PETERS at Richibucto (Kent Co.) - The accident occurred near the ballast heap in Richibucto harbor about 4 o'clock, Tuesday morn. The deceased with his vessel had just returned from a fishing cruise up the Gulf. A correspondent at Richibucto writes: John Wesley s/o Henry PETERS was going on board his vessel the "Two Brothers" and must have slipped when in the act of stepping on board. His boat was seen adrift on Mr. WATHEN's shore, a fact which caused some alarm. On Wednesday (today) about 11 p.m. his body was found alongside his vessel. Young PETERS was about 21 years of age, held a position in the Good Templars and was connected with the Volunteers.
