Another soul voluntarily seeks eternity. About 9 o'clock yesterday morn. Frederick W. MOUNT,who resided at 244 King St. east, availed himself of his wife's absence from his bedroom to get up, take a revolver from a bureau drawer and with unerring precision, sent a bullet through his heart. Ill health and worry over imaginary cares produced the desperate resolve which he so successfully executed. Deceased was a robust man, 40 years of age. A native of Montreal, he came here an electrician for the Royal Electric Company when that company started on Paradise Row. When the property was purchased by the Gas Company, he was still retained in their employ as engineer and electrician. About four years ago Mr. Mount has an attack of the grippe that left him with health much impaired. He gradually recoevered, however, sufficiently to resume work. A few months later he was considerably injured in an accident in the station, being struck a heavy blow on the side of the head. To that blow is is death directly due. The effects of it were ever present. The sincere sympathy of the community goes out to Mrs. Mount and her three small children. At 12 o'clock Coroner Berryman began an inquest at the residence of the deceased. Mrs. Catherine MOUNT, wife of the deceased was the first witness called. Witnesses: Mrs. Elizabeth C. ROBERTSON, Matthew GAREY (cross reference GEARY) has been employed as engineer in the Gas Works for two years.; Dr. Thos. D. WALKER; George R. ELLIS, general manager of the Gas Works; Robert J. COCHRAN, am a lineman of the Gas Company; Samuel JONES has been employed as carpenter by the Gas Company for five years. (see original for testimonies).
