Alarming news was brought ot the city yesterday afternoon by Henry WALKER, who had gone out in the pilot boat "Hercules" as cook some days ago, and returned without any of those who had sailed with him. It is feared that the others or some of them, have been drowned. Walker, a bright boy, is stopping at Mr. GARRATY's, Brittain St. He states that on Tuesday 12th inst., The "Hercules" in command of Capt. PRICE of Carleton left St. John for a cruise in the bay. There were five in board the "Hercules": the captain, Daniel DALEY and George MULHERRIN, pilots; Michael McEWEN, a deck hand and Walker the cook. On Thursday afternoon they left Yarmouth, N.S. and were heading south. Collision with schr. "Maggie Quinn" (see original)
