Some St. John people will remember John SLOAN who went to the Pacific coast many years ago. The San Francisco 'Call', 18th March says: An interesting double wedding took place yesterday afternoon at Dr. Stebbins's new church on the corner of Geary and Franklin streets. The contracting parties were Miss Bessie Imogene McBOYLE, a native of San Francisco only d/o Alexander McBOYLE, an old resident and druggist of this city and J.R. SLOAN s/o John Sloan, commission mercahnt and a native of San Francisco. Miss Maud SLOAN, sister of the above and Harry WOODS s/o Frank H. WOODS, a resident of this city. The ceremony was performed shortly after 5 o'clock by Rev. Horatio Stebbins.
