The friends of T.T. Ryan will regret to hear of his death which occurred at his residence in Moncton Friday morn. He leaves a widow, two small children, a mother, a sister and four brothers: Heber W. RYAN, James T. RYAN, Sanford RYAN and George RYAN. Tilley Thornton RYAN, the youngest s/o late Hon. James RYAN, Speaker of the Legislative Council, was in his 32nd year, having been born at Coverdale (Albert Co.) April 16, 1863. In his earlier years, after leaving school, he was assistant station agent and telegraph operator at Painsec Junction. On leaving this position he remained for a time in the store dept. of the Albert Manufacturing Co., Hillsboro and early in 1887 left there to open a general grcery in Moncton. About six years ago he married Miss Lilly STEEVES d/o late Michael STEEVES, Hillsboro. A year ago Mr. Ryan was appointed by the provincial government a member of the public school board of Moncton. Mr. Ryan was in religion a Methodist. In politics he was a firm Liberal. The largest funeral ever seen in Moncton accompanied the remains to Coverdale cemetery Sunday afternoon. The pall bearers were James T. RYAN, Sanford S. RYAN, Heber W. RYAN, Geo. F. RYAN, brothers of the deceased, Mr. MORRIS and G.L. STEVENS. Rev. W.W. Weeks and Rev. W.W. Brewer officiated.
