On Friday March 8th, some 15 ladies, born in Canada, now residing in Minneapolis, Minn., met at the residence of Mrs. Benjamin BEVERIDGE and organized themselves into a society for social advantage, designating themselves 'The Canadian Ladies Club of Minneapolis'. New Brunswick was well represented in the gathering by Mrs. Benjamin Beveridge and her two daughters, Miss A.K. BEVERIDGE and Mrs. G.A. BREWSTER, granddaughter of the late Hon. Benjamin BEVERIDGE of Andover (Victoria Co.); Mrs. Nathan S. LOCKWOOD and her daughter, Mrs. Dr. E.O. COSMAN, granddaughter of the late James LOCKWOOD, Esq., Woodstock; Mrs. H.J. THORNE wife of Ex-Mayor THORNE of St. John and her daughter, Miss Agnes L. THORNE.
