Joseph E. ETON, a native of Groton, Mass. was born in 1809 and came to St. Stephen in 1830. He married Jane WRIGHT. He was a man of more than usual force, energy and ability. His children were Charles B. EATON, Joseph E. EATON, Herbert EATON, Albert EATON, Bradley EATON and Elizabeth BENTON of Philadelphia. A brief illness terminated his life in 1869.
