In remarks concerning the new Episcopal church at Ludlow (North. Co.) the 'Farmer' gives the following account: The parish of Ludlow extends along both sides of the Miramichi from the boundary of York Co. to two miles above Doaktown. The first settler was a clergyman of the Church of England by the name of PRICE. His descendents may now be numbered by the hundred. Rev. James HUDSON, who came from Dublin, Ireland worked along the Miramichi from the mouth to the head of the settlement and twice a year spent a fortnight in the village of Ludlow. He died in the early spring of 1871. Since his death the church folk have been neglected. In 1885, Bishop KINGDOM visited the district and it was determined to build a church. The church was built and dedicated July 9, 1887.
