David L. NICHOLSON whose father and family live near Chatham (North. Co.) was accidentally killed at Burton (Sunbury Co.) 15th inst. It appears the deceased had gone to the woods that day with his uncle John BABBITT and his cousin James BABBITT and that in felling trees for fire wood, several of them lodged, but unexpectedly broke loose, one of them striking him on the head and crushing it so badly that the brain oozed out through the fractured skull. Death was instantaneous. Coroner Thomas Turney held an inquest on the body.
