An account was given in the Globe last week of the arrest in East Boston of Edwin BISSETT, formerly of St. John, for felonious assault on Ida M. JAMES of Stanley Street, St. John. Bissett had married the girl, but as she was only 15 years old it was held the marriage was illegal and Bissett was therefor guilty of assault. The Boston 'Advertiser' describes the scene in court.
