John L. SCOFIELD has been successful in obtaining a number of English immigrants for Lockstead Settlement. Three families, in all 12 persons have arrived and a number more are expected next spring. Mr. Scofield also has charge of the Free Grants Settlement of East Breadalbane. Though only organized last summer, this settlement has now five families, in all 21 souls, living in it. The latest arrivals are James JARDINE and family, formerly of Chatham.
