Diphtheria is still doing its work in Hammond Vale (Kings Co.). Matthew FURGESON has lost five of his children to this fatal disease. The family consisted of six boys. Within three weeks they buried five out of six. We rejoice to know that little Johnny FURGESON, the eldest of the group, although only 10 1/2 years old, died rejoicing in Jesus as his Saviour. (sgd) S.W. KEIRSTEAD, Hammond, June 8th. - Since writing the above, the sixth and last of the family is gone. The parents are left alone in their solitary home. (cross reference: FERGUSON)
