Benjamin APPLEBY, shipbuilder, died at his residence, Riverside, yesterday at the advanced age of 81 years. Mr. Appleby was a native of this city and resided here for many years, but on retiring from active business removed to Riverside. Half a century ago deceased was engaged in ship building and there are several persons still alive who remember attending the launch of the Appleby vessels fifty years ago. Deceased leaves a widow and one daughter.
