Butte, Montana 'Miner', 15th inst. - A letter received from White Sulphur Springs yesterday by C.M. LAWSON of this city from his brother states that George H. SEWELL is doing as well as can be expected, but is not out of danger. A special to the 'Miner' from Great Falls, published last Sunday, giving an account of the occurrence, stated that he was shot dead, but this proved erroneous. McCormick started the row by abusing Sewell who resented it and then McCormick drew a revolver and fired three shots at Sewell. The first two merely grazed his arm and breast, but the third struck him on the lower rib on the left side, taking an upward direction.
