Ex. Sgt. HAYES has addressed a petition to the Chief of Police setting forth his long services, good character and advanced years, that considering the Magistrate's, his dismissal was hasty. The prayer of the petition is that the Chief will consider the case and that he is re-instated he will obstain from all intoxicating drinks and render faithful service in the future as he has for many years done in the past.
