David LAWSON, residing on a ranch near Silver Bow Junction, Montana, died morn. 10th inst. About 10 o'clock, Mr. Lawson arose to build a fire in the kitchen. Mrs. Lawson, who was asleep in an adjoining room, was awakened by hearing him groaning. Hastily rising, she went to her husband but too late to be of any service as he breathed on a few times after she had reached his side. His son Thomas hastened for medical aid, but before he could return Mr. Lawson was dead. It is thought that death was caused by heart disease. At the time of his death, Mr. Lawson was 67 years of age. He was a native of Queens Co., having gone to Montana with his family some four years ago. For about twenty years previous to his departure, he held the position of Deputy Sheriff of Queens Co. and will be remembered as having been for several years proprietor of the Lawson House at Gagetown. His wife is a sad blow to his wife and five children. Mrs. F.R. MILES of Stuart; and Mrs. H. LEWIS of Spring Hill, Montana, are daughters of the deceased. The other children of Thomas M. LAWSON who is living on the ranch at Silver Bow; Charles M. LAWSON, proprietor of the Fulton market; and William D. LAWSON, connected with Bray & Davidson's grocery, Butte City. Mrs. McBRIDE, who died in Butte about two years ago, was a daughter of the deceased.
