Henry PARKER, an engine driver on the C.P.R. and son of Chas. PARKER of this town, was killed at the Fredericton railway yard by being crushed between the tender and baggage car which he was attempting to couple, Friday morn. last. He only lived, unconscious, for a few hours. It was not Mr. Parker's duty to do the coupling. Being a Knight of Pythias, brethern of the order took charge of the body until John Sutton and James H. Wilbur, Jr., delegated by the Ivanhoe Lodge here, of which deceased was a member, arrived. These brethern returned to Woodstock with the remains on Saturday. Parker was 27 years old. His untimely death evoked general sympathy with his bereaved parents, brothers and sisters. On Sunday he was buried. Service at the house was conducted by Rev. Bleakney and Rev. Baker. The pall bearers were Dr. KIERSTEAD, George BRITTON, John C. ARNOLD and Adolphus DARRAH in Orange regalia. (see original for funeral) (see also 'Gleaner' Nov. 20, 1894)
