There sailed away from Pisarinco (St. John) in the little fishing schooner "Lizzie Young" on Thursday morn. last, three menThomas McKEE, Richard McGUIRE, Patrick QUIGG; the latter's nephew, Alfred QUIGG, about 18 years of age, was also with them. When the schooner arrived off Two Islands, Grand Manan, McGuire and Quiggs took to the boat and went fishing while McKee stayed by the schooner. Between 3 and 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the men in the boat who had been out fishing a couple of hours were fishing away as usual, when suddenly a sea struck the boat side, capsizing and throwingall three occupants into the water. After a hard struggle, however, all managed to get on the keel of the capsized boat. They had been in the position a very few minutes when a heavy sea washed McGuire and Patrick Quigg off the boat. McGuire again managed to reach the boat, but Quigg was some distance from her. An oar was reached to him, but he was too far away to be able to catch it and in a few minutes sank to be seen no more. Alfred Quigg and McGuire were rescued from their perilous position by Messrs. John SHANNON and Thomas SHANNON who were fishing near by. Patrick Quigg was about 30 years of age and unmarried who lived with his father at Irishtown.. He has a brother in Boston.
