Halifax 'Herald' - In our obituary column today is found a notice of the death of Rev. James BUCKLEY, Wesleyan Minister, who passed away at his son's residence 7 Maitland Terrace. He was a native of Hillsburgh, Ireland and came to this country in 1820. He joined the Wesleyan Ministry in 1837 and at different times was stationed at Wallace, Truro, Hopewell, N.B., Parrsboro, Bedeque, P.E.I., Sydney, C.B., Horton, Barrington, Lunenburg and other places. After becoming a supernumary he settled in Guysboro, N.S. where he lived till four years ago. He leaves six children, three of whom live in this city, viz. Avery F. BUCKLEY and Albert H. BUCKLEY, druggists and Mrs. CRAINE w/o R.T. CRAINE; two in Guysboro, Dr. Geo. E. BUCKLEY and James H. BUCKLEY and Rev. F.N. BUCKLEY, B.A., who is at present stationed at Port Hawkesbury. He was married to Abbie BROWN of Grand Pre, who is a sister of C.E. BROWN of this city, who survives him.
