On Saturday afternoon, the funeral took place at St. John of the late Sir Leonard TILLEY. At 1:30 prvate services were held at the Carleton House. After prayer had been offered, the casket was removed to the hearse by the three sons, Arthur TILLEY, Herbert TILLEY and Leonard TILLEY, two sons-in-law, A.F. STREET and Col. TOLLER and T.B. HANINGTON, a brother-in-law. The remains were met at the church door by the pall bearers, Chief Justice TUCK, Attorney General BLAIR, Mayor ROBERTSON, Alex. GIBSON, A.F. RANDOLPH and R.W. CROOKSHANK. Service was conducted by Rev. J. deSoyres, assisted by Rev. R.P. McKim of St. Luke's parish. Rev. J. DeSoyres conducted services at the grave. (see original)
