On 2nd inst. Mr. and Mrs. Adams ARCHIBALD, River John, Pictou, N.S. celebrated their golden wedding. Among those in attendance were Mr. Archibald's sisters, Mrs. Isaac Archibald and her husband of Monticello, Maine; Mrs. Alexander Miller and her husband of Truro. Adams Archibald was the son of John James ARCHIBALD, Salmon River, Colchester and was one of eight children viz. Timothy ARCHIBALD, Truro; Adams ARCHIBALD, River John; Mrs. Isaac ARCHIBALD, Monticello, Me.; Mrs. Daniel McNUTT, North River, Colchester; Mrs. James JOHNSTON, Salmon River; Mrs. Rev. H.B. McKAY, Wallace; Mrs. Alexander MILLER, Truro; John ARCHIBALD, deceased, Truro. The last name died some years ago. Mrs. Johnston's husband died recently after 45 years of wedded happiness. To these eight brothers and sisters have been born 51 children, 71 grandchildren grandchildren and 4 great grand children.
