At the Block House, St. Andrews (Charlotte Co.) 26th ult., John SHANNON, age 87. John SHANNON, a British army pensioner, and a resident of this town for the past 40 years, died at his residence, the western block house on Sunday morn. last. The deceased served 22 years and 67 days in the 33rd Regt. of Infantry from which he retired in 1847 of one shilling sterling per day. His age at his death was 87 years 6 mos. 11 days. He was a native of Ireland. He leaves issue one daughter, Mrs. ALINDEN with whom her lived.
