Phoebe W. CHANDLER widow of Hon. Edward B. CHANDLER died at Dorchester (West. Co.) Tuesday afternoon in her 88th year. She was a d/o late Stephen MILLEDGE of Westcock. She married 6th August 1822. Governor Chandler died 6th Feb. 1880. Mrs. Chandler passed away after a short attack of paralysis. She lost the power of speech but retained consciousness up to within a day or two of her death. Out of a family of eight sons and one daughter, three sons survive her, namely, Edward B. CHANDLER, George W. CHANDLER and A. Henry CHANDLER, all of Dorchester. Her death took place at Rocklyn which was built by Gov. Chandler about the year 1830.
