d. 12th inst., Emily Jane third d/o late Thomas BABBITT, Fredericton (York Co.) age 33, member of Baptist Church at Fredericton. She was trained as Episcopalian to which communion her father belonged. In 1850 a revival of religion occurred in the Baptist Church, Maugerville (Sunbury Co.) where the family was then residing and Emily experienced the renewing grace of God; was baptized by Rev. George F. Miles and became a member of the Baptist Church there. When the family removed to Fredericton in 1852, she joined the Baptist Church there. In the early part of autumn she visited Woodstock (Carleton Co.) in the hope of recruiting her health. She died in Jacksontown, at the residence of her uncle, W. WATSON, Esq; her brother William BABBITT and youngest sister were with her during the last week of her life. (see original)
