Samuel J. CALHOUN, for many years a resident of this village and a former councillor for the Municipality of Albert, N.B. is living at Vernon, B.C., on the Fraser. His eldest daughter is a music teacher in New Westminster and his second daughter, Miss Flora E. CALHOUN, who was a graduate of the shorthand dept. of the St. John Business College, is said to be one of the most expert stenographers in British Columbia. The friends here regret to learn of the dangerous illness of Mr. Calhoun's youngest daughter, Mabel CALHOUN, a teacher in the academy at New Westminster and a lady of unusual ability.
