Capt. Thomas HOLMES, sr. of Fairhaven has just passed his 81st birthday. Several of his grandchildren have visited him the past week, among them being Miss Alice HOLMES of Eastport, Grace THOMPSON, Fredericton, N.B., Grace BOYNTON and Mary E. BOYNTON of Eastport and a young son of Morris HOLMES.
