The schr. "Village Belle", Capt. RILEY, which arrived here Saturday night, brought news of a case of drowning in this harbor. Schr. "Lizzie Dakers" which sailed from here on Thursday at 1 o'clock for Barbadoes, was at Little River on Friday and reported to Capt. Riley having lost the second mate named Charles JOHNSTON overboard off Negro Head. Johnston, about 24 years, a Norwegian by birth, but of late years hailing from Sydney, C.B. He was mate of brig "Iris" when she was lost.
