At one o'clock this afternoon, three fisherman of Pisarinco (St. John), John REED, John DALZELL and Henry GILBRAITH rowed up to the South Wharf and landed a man who had been found in a state of exhaustion from cold and hunger out in the Bay off Mahagony Island. The man's name is Henry NASH who has been for the last two years at intervals an inmate of the Lunatic Asylum. He came originally from London, England, to Toronto and thence to Saint John. He worked on a farm 'out on the marsh' for some time during which time he made attempts to kill himself by drowning and cutting his throat. Finally he was taken to the Asylum where he remained some months until he was thought to be cured. He went to Nerepis in 1878 but not liking the work, took the woods one day and when found had both feet badly frozen. He was brought to the Public Hospital here and again on recovery sent to the Asylum. Last means by means of a weapon which he had secreted in his room, he managed to force the lock of his room and escape. This morn., he was found off Mahagony Island greatly exhausted in a boat half full of water by James FERGUSON and Alex. McALLISTER.
