Diptheria has been committing fearful ravages at Sherman, Aroostock, Maine. The family of John C. STEELE was attacked recently and five children, all he had except the eldest daughter, married and away from home, were taken away from him in a little more than two weeks. Minnie STEELE, age about 3 years; Alice STEELE, age 7; Willie STEELE, age 8; Nellie STEELE, age 11; Joseph STEELE, age 14.
